30番手のオープンエンドヤーン糸をインディゴロープ染色し、度詰で編み上げた裏毛になります。オープンエンドヤーンまたは空紡糸と呼ばれる、空気の力で撚りを加えた糸を用いることにより、糸に適度な空気を含み、ドライな質感でロープのあたりがしっかりつく生地となっています。フライス(リブ)においても同じ糸を使い編み立てています。平安時代から衣類に用いられていた柿渋の天然染料で製品染めしております。柿渋がもつ成分より殺菌や堅牢度を高め、その一つであるタンニンが使い込むほどに深みのある色味へと変化していくのが特徴です。
